Zombie Walk Phoenix 2011 Videos

Over 4000 people participated. It was freaking amazing! Police blocked the downtown roadways and the thousands of zombies stumbled through the streets and moaned, lunging at the witnesses. I'd like thank HalloweeNut for his very kind words. He is one of the best Halloween enthusiasts I have ever known and embodies the spirit of the season in his art and his craft.

Drunk Ghost Story: Resurrection Mary

I love the "Drunk History" videos so much, I decided I needed to try one of my own twist. Haven't been drunk in over a decade and this is probably why... Warning: Do not use this for educational purposes. **No lonely on a Friday night tonight--be back next week**

Besh-Ba-Gowah: Arizona Native American Ruins

( Interestingly, whenever Julie and I go to Native American sites, we always run into an animal protector. At Casa Grande ruins, they had an owl. At Montezuma's castle, they had an angry blackbird protecting the ruins. Here, at Besh-Ba-Gowah in Globe, Arizona, they had a bushy tailed red squirrel. I know what you're going to say about the video. I'm rather ADD, huh? Welcome to my world when I go places. I want to see everything at once and am easily distracted by things. I've always been the kid growing up in the DC area, going to the White House and noticing how birds were nesting in a tree, rather than the home of the president .) This lovely site is probably my second favorite Native American ruins site I've seen so far. I'd put Montezuma's Castle first and that's because of the scope of it and the view. This place is amazing because you can walk around in it and there are desert botanical gardens, an indoor museum with information and a video, as wel...

Psychic Read On Video

Okay, y'all. I know you've been wondering what an Autumnforest psychic read is like. Well, Julie and I finally filmed one. I told her many months ago that I was interested in videotaping a psychic read so folks could see how it goes. She had forgotten. I had forgotten. But, as she left for the trip this past weekend, Julie remembered and brought an item. The team was sitting around the table in our huge schoolroom that we were staying in, hanging out and having deep philosophical paranormal conversations, when she pulled out this doorknob and said, "read it." I did like I always do during a read, ask her to remain quiet while I say everything I can get and I look away, focusing my eyes around until I find the spot in space where I seem to hone in on the item. It's hard to describe that process, but as I read the doorknob, I held it in my reading hand (left) and looked off to the lower right away from Julie and spoke. I never realized until seeing this, how much my...

Video: Abandoned Row

This was taken on Julie and I's trip to Miami, AZ to research for our book about abandoned places. Enjoy! I was fascinated with this hillside street in this mining town.

Ben Hansen "Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files"

Okay, okay, okay. I’ve heard it from ya’all enough times. I do have a slight crush on Ben Hansen from FoF, but I have always had a thing for smart guys with honest curiosity and ethics. Oh, and the premise of his show curls my toes. That combination is great, but what’s even better is Ben in 3D. Yeah! He came to my apartment to meet me on Saturday while he was in town. Now, is that a sweetheart or what? He is exactly as I knew he would be; intelligent, honest, curious and open-minded. He walks the same tightrope I do between logic and the paranormal. A natural born-leader, eager to study things from all angles, he wishes to see the show become more documentary-like in its depth and investigation. He’d also love to see them handle current hot issues as they happen, although the planning involved in plotting out a show and hitting the road to find new phenomenon as it happens is a nightmare. Given the limitations of everyone having a finger in the pie that is “Fact or Faked: Paranormal F...

This is who is giving you ghost hunting advice..

A friend dared me to videotape myself dancing in the bellydancing scarf, he just didn't say what kind of dance. I made this on a dare, but I thought--hell, this is probably the best portrayal of me of all time. I am willing to try just about anything, not worried about self embarrassment--I'm still 30 pounds from my goal--not afraid to shake it. So, if a person like me who questions authority, will try things on a dare, doesn't have ego issues, and has no problems putting a creative twist on things, she is an ideal ghost hunter. The tao of Autumnforest: Do it once with confidence. Trust your first gut instinct. Be fearless ( of embarrassment or ghosts ). Stay in fighting shape. Punctuate everything with a laugh ( it attracts spirit activity and open-minded people like yourselves ). Always be your genuine self ( then everyone knows what they're getting into when they befriend you ) So, this is who you're getting your paranormal info from. Oh, come on, isn't that...
