Elements That Might Affect Hauntings

Aokigahara Forest at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan has taken on the tragic nickname of "Suicide Forest." Every year, hundreds of despondent people enter the forest, some of them camping for a time to put their heads in the right place to make the final desperate sacrifice of their mortal life in this beautiful natural setting. Such a location, for 14 square miles of size, and given the amounts of death should be quite haunted, but there are more reasons than just those for why it could be exceptionally haunted. Most haunted locations have death associated with them - that crossing over from this realm to the next, but how those deaths happen is as important as the fact that they passed on there. It appears that the moments that a person is dying, whether in fighting, defending, sickness, suicide or pain, the intensity of emotion and period of time are critical to adding layers in the environment of space "memories" or "markers."
