REVIEW: Sharknado 4 Tonight on Syfy Channel!

TONIGHT - Syfy channel - 8 pm EST I am quite honored to be on the press for NBC/Syfy and I got to preview this movie weeks ago. I will not give a thing away except to tell y'all why I love this! - I promise NO SPOILERS -  Ian Ziering rocked this movie - what perfect casting for the lead part! Hasselhoff was also very well cast and Gary Busey! Tara Reid!  Oh my gosh!   I feel like I just indulged on eating a box of Twinkies and a couple pints of beer and the calorie count was zero! Yay! Naughty fun and no guilt! I watched this movie a Sharknado virgin. I have not seen the other ones and I think this helped me to totally dive in. I was hooked from the first minute and had to pause so I could use the bathroom because the short choppy editing makes it so that in a few seconds, you might miss something freaking awesome!  I know Sharknado can't live forever, but I can't helping thinking that Syfy is onto something. I'd love to see celebs from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s coming

Where Ghost Investigators Fail

I'm not always popular with other ghost investigators. I don't push fear . I push strength . I don't tow the old turn-of-the-century spiritualists' nonsense. I don't believe in attachment, demons, possession, and other concepts that open the door for them to delight at being "heroes" or push their expensive remedies.  I don't push incompatible faiths' ceremonies on someone who does not have that belief system. I make the client deal with their own energy, their own beliefs, and the fact that every one of us human beings (carrying a soul) has been wearing the ruby slippers the whole time. The power was always with us. I don't look at someone and tell them they're a victim and I can make I all go away with a prayer or holy water. No, the power is always with the person and tapping their own potential to own their life, own their energy, own all the tools they have inside of them as a spiritual being having a human life. Practicing spiritual t

Victorian Era Creepy Photos

There is no doubt the Victorian Era was a dark time in which people were immersed in deep thoughts, serious subjects like death, disease, deformities, and the spirit realm. With photography becoming en vogue, it produced an interesting archive of a difficult yet revolutionary transition to the modern era. Post mortem photos, ghost trickery in photographs, and trick photography were all popular methods of archiving the "awkward" adolescence of our modern times.  And, the gothic architecture of Victorian times left us with aging shells that have reputations for hauntings and, no wonder! They look delightfully unsettling -

Soldiers Encountering Ancient Adversaries in Afghanistan Caves

Ancient flying machines, alien beings, and giants. These are some of the things reported in the media by supposed American soldiers in the Afghanistan campaign. These stories tell of finds that are extraordinary and chilling. The first legend being told is that the soldiers cornered something in a cave, a being that was at least 12-15 feet tall and cannibalistic. It came to be known as the Khandajar Giant. This giant was described as having a red beard and scarlet red hair. A supposed witness of the event said that one soldier was skewered by the giant while they laid down fire. According to this soldier, the government did not divulge this encounter and he believed that it was because giants do not fit into the way we explain our world. Another story tells of an ancient flying machine referred to in history as a Vimana. This is a thing of legends in Sanskrit and flown by otherworldly beings. It was said that US Military scientists came across one in a cave and eight soldiers went miss

Desert-Themed Horror Movies

Desert horror movies in the middle of summer - makes you realize there are worse horrors than your rising humidity levels! Joy Ride: Two brothers and a girl love interest hit the road to head east from the west, but they are interrupted by the outcome of a CB radio prank they pulled on a trucker. Only this trucker doesn't get the joke and he's deadly serious. This is one of my favorites. Starring Paul Walker. The Hitcher: A young man gets a job to drive a car across country for a company and when he gets a bit tired, he figures he'll pick up a hitchhiker to help keep him awake, only he picked the wrong man and it's deadly. Starring C. Thomas Howell and Rutger Hauer. This is a classic if you like super tense movies. Duel: An irritable businessman is tormented on the road by a semi-truck driver with an attitude. Starring Dennis Weaver. Hills Have Eyes: "They wanted to see something different, but something different saw them first" I doubt there is a sing

Is This Lake Cursed?

A gorgeous idyllic-looking lake in the urban setting of Dallas, Texas harbors a dark history of taking lives and hiding the dead. Locals believe White Rock Lake is haunted, and with good reason. A man was doing his regular run around White Lake and was randomly killed with a machete . His bride killed herself two weeks later.  Three women were killed in the White Rock Lake area and the search is on for their assailants. There have been numerous drownings, murders, and even joggers on the trails around the lake report seeing the ghost.  The cemetery  dating back to the mid 1800s in the lake park area is said to be haunted, as well.  In the 1930s, a plane went down in the lake, killing all on board. The body of a 78-year-old woman was found floating face down. There were no signs of trauma.  A professional swimmer drowned in the lake. A young man hung himself from a tree by the lake.  There have been numerous drownings, bodies found, bodies not found and even people jumping off the bri
