Victorian Tea Time

Tea time came to be in 1840 as a way to quell hunger between the two meals of the day.  It was initially served around 3 to 4 in the afternoon.  Supper was late. It was served with nice linens, pretty dishes and pots, sandwiches, scones, cookies, pastries, and Devonshire cream.  I admit that my ultimate is to set up a true tea time and watch Victorian-type ghost movies. I get petit fours or slices of cake from the bakery at the grocery store to make the cakes easier. I prepare fancy sandwiches and my favorite tea - Earl Grey! I suggest movies like "Seance On a Wet Afternoon," "The Awakening," "The Woman In Black," "Bram Stokers Dracula," "Interview With the Vampire," "Sleepy Hollow," "Corpse Bride," "Brotherhood of the Wolf," "Wolfman," "Phantom of the Opera." Recipes Tea:  Ideally, use spring or bottled water. Heat it to boiling. Use 1 tsp of tea per cup of water (tea cup size, not mug ...

Cemetery Safety Bells and Morbid Death Mementos

(funeral memento - above - with woven hair of the dead included)  (cemetery bell system - above) During the cholera epidemic in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, people feared being buried when they weren't completely dead. Many reported digging up graves of loved ones to find signs they fought inside the coffin to get out. As this would nearly be an impossibility with the weight of the earth on the coffin and lack of oxygen, the rumors did start hysteria. Patents were put out for these bells that would allow the newly awakened buried person to pull a string, ring a bell above ground that the groundskeeper could hear. Imagine how freaking chilling that would be to actually hear one go off? I had an idea for a zombie story about that but never got around to it. The first recorded safety coffin was constructed on the orders of Duke Ferdinand of Brunswick before his death in 1792. He had a window installed to allow light in, an air tube to provide a supply of fresh air, and inst...

Those Seafaring Copper-Mining Ancient Giants!

(Copper mining around the world - above) Peruvians tell of giants arriving and building water wells, eating their men, raping their women and sodomizing each other until God killed them with a mighty sword.  Today, we find the remains of amazingly built water wells of ancient times, elongated skulls with red hair. As well, in Arizona/California/Nevada, red-haired giants reported, giants found in caves and in the ground in copper mining areas. The moundbuilders of the Upper Midwest mined copper in Michigan, traded up and down the Mississippi with the people of the Gulf area. Remains of giants have been found extensively in that region. When 1500s Spanish explorers went from Florida to the west along the Gulf, they encountered the Karankawa Indians in Texas who told them they got their copper implements from trading with the north. The northern copper mines were no doubt mined by Native American tribes who had claimed what was begun by the giants long ago and taught to t...

The Dino Bones Update

The bones were found in a cave in the Western US a few years ago. The people who found it, discovered it in a very isolated location a half mile deep into a cave, hidden in a lave tube "room" isolated by stalactites.  When they found this skeleton, it appeared to be in a crouched posture, like a bird on a nest. In fact, given the synsacrum (fused sacral bone in the low back), it appeared to be an ostrich to their opinion, given its sizes and the bird-like bones. Upon looking at this pic that they brought forward, it very much appears to be some sort of theropod dinosaur.  It was missing the skull, hands and feet, which seem like they could have potentially been prized as thunderbird skull and talons to any native person long long ago who came across it. There would have been no dinosaur knowledge to compare it with, but a bird skeleton would seem similar. What I noted on it as I unfolded it in Photoshop and added flesh, was that the attachment of the powerful hip/leg joint wa...

Ancient Giants' Migration and Origins

I mean to prove that giants were not an aberration, but a vital part of our own evolution as homo sapiens. They have a part in our history and it is up to us to demand they get the credit for what they began and what we continue because of their influence and early migration out of Africa.  Let's begin this post of my proposal of the origins and migration of ancient giants by looking at one location of ancient giants - Catalina Islands, California:  Self-proclaimed archaeologist, Ralph Glidden, did not become famous or revered in his field of study, yet he managed to dig up and pilfer an amazing site of ancient human finds on Catalina Island in California in the early 1900s, where he sold off bone finds and created an oddities showcase museum. Source: Little is known of Glidden’s early life.  In 1896, at the age of 16, he moved to Avalon with his parents from Lowell, Massachusetts.  He worked as a carpenter, but in 1915 he began to excavate Native American si...

Does the Lineage Of Giants Still Exist?

"There were giants upon the earth in those days" (Genesis, Bible) PERU In the rainforests of the San Juan Province of Peru , giants are upon occasion viewed who are exceedingly tall, hunchbacked, red-haired, speaking an unknown dialect and carrying clubs.  People in a remote village report them from time to time with fear and reverence. We could probably dismiss extraordinary stories, unless they align with legends and physical proof - then we have what I like to call the "Holy Trinity Of Cryptid Research" - prior legends, present-day reports, physical evidence. We know Peruvian giants to be part of their legends, including a legend of them reaching the shores in ancient times in reed boats, raping the women, eating the men, and settling in to build water wells and claim the territory, only to be supposedly stricken by God with lightning bolts and thunder for sodomy and barbaric actions. These would all be local legends if giants with red hair weren't dug up...

Earth Day Message: SOS - Save Our Sasquatch

NOTE:   This is a special 2-guest post beginning with Steve Summar, a friend and mentor in the field of Sasquatch Research. Wanted: Dead Or Alive Rumor has it, millionaire "benefactors" of Sasquatchery have placed a bounty on producing a "voucher specimen", ostensibly for species recognition, of the  North American Aboriginal Ancient Peoples, known as Sasquatch or Bigfoot.   Former contestants of the infamous 10 Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty, are in the field with a mandate to bring in a body for the newest bounty offer. I wish it were only a rumor...several months ago a member of our habituation support group, was contacted by a professional bounty hunter.  This bounty hunter had been following with great interest numerous videos posted on YouTube, from a well known east Texas site, with a long history of repeat visitation, and interaction with the  North American Aboriginal Ancient Peoples. The bounty hunter boasted how he used the YouTube videos, ...
