Paiute tribes told of an ancient giant people as tall as 12-feet with red hair. These huge warriors fought against them and were fierce and powerful. The Pauites told settlers that when there were only a few of the giants left, they chased them into a cave where they filled the opening with brush and burned it. At one point, an earthquake covered the opening of the cave.  In 1911 in the Lovelock Cave in Nevada, the cave was unearthed and the bat guano which turned to saltpeter was used for gunpowder and so mining began inside. It was 13 years later when they came across some of the debris not tossed out. This contained a female and a male skeleton with red hair. The female was 6-1/2 feet tall, the male was 8-feet tall. Alien Brain Hemorrhage Cocktail Twilight's Kiss of a Vampire Martini 1 ½ oz. Chilled Vodka 1 ½ oz. Champagne ¾ oz. Black Raspberry Liqueur Sugar Red food coloring Wax vampire teeth (Optional) START: Rim martini glasses with sugar dipped in red food color. You can also drop in a set of wax vampire teeth for a real surprise. Pour vodka and half of black raspberry liqueur in a martini glass. Top with champagne and pour the remaining black raspberry liqueur over the back of a spoon to make it float. Bleeding Heart Martini   2 oz dry vermouth, 8 oz gin, ice cubes, 4 pickled baby beets with cocktail skewer.  START: Chill 4 martini glasses in freezer or fill with ice water and let sit until frosty, about 5 minutes (pour out water). I've talked about places like Kickstarter and Indiegogo here. They make it possible for groups or artists or whoever is undertaking an endeavor the chance to get funding from the public. It's a fun way to contribute to research, industry, art, film, and other projects and also get a little something out of it. Each level of contribution offers you different rewards. In fact, my favorite movie I've seen in many many years, "Letters From the Big Man" was funded through this by the public. The one I'm going to tell you about now is one I've been following on Facebook, a group calling itself Genesis Quest. They are very much into learning the secrets of ancient clues of potential alien involvement in our world or mysteries that have yet to be solved. "Don't Feed the Apparition" TAPS promises to have captured the most compelling evidence yet tonight at Louisiana's Alexandria Zoo.  This episode will also have their new member, Ashley Troub. There are hints that they might start using new equipment and shaking up their investigation style. Are they finally listening to viewers who are bored and tuning out from the mundane, routine, and the lack of growth in the field? One can hope so, but considering all the new members they could bring to their team, experts in sound, video, equipment design, engineers, scientists, we get another puppy?
